Achievements
Since 1999, the Bambisanani Project and partners have:
- Established successful referral network between government health services, mining companies and home care supported communities.
- Served a population of more than 100 000 for care and support.
- Developed a training institute and trained home care supporters and increased capacity of communities to care for terminally ill.
- Identified children in distress and directed them to appropriate support.
- Have developed halfway houses to provide meals for orphans and assist them with homework.
- Support TB cases, terminally ill cases and HIV/AIDS cases.
