Bambisanani partners work with community leaders, women's and youth groups, traditional healers and other community structures to identify and build a suitable environment for home based care and provide training in HIV/AIDS interventions.
Bambisanani is establishing drop-in centers linked to local hospitals, churches or local government offices to be used for IGS's, support group meetings for People Living With AIDS (PWA's), women, children in distress or families caring for orphans.
Bambisanani implements life skills and peer education training, bereavement support, orphan placement and linkages to helpful government programmes for families and children who need support. Bambisanani has established a halfway house where orphans get two meals a day.
To address economic pressures of households affected by HIV/AIDS, Bambisanani offers trainings in various IGA's such as bread baking, farming and other micro-enterprise options.
Develop community support systems through Community mobilization, Health education, Awareness programmes, Specimen collection in communities and conveying them to the laboratories and results to the clinics. Make follow-ups to smear positive cases and contacts. Monitor TB cure rate through Tracing of TB defaulters and bring them back to treatment.
Work closely with community structures, Bambisanani provides training in home based care and offers on going supervision and support to home care supporters. |
